Moon Medicine - a lunar love in. Over the years The Trailblazery events have been the source for all sorts of new ideas but now they have come up with an ancient one...
— The Irish Times, Feb 2018

The Trailblazery presents Moon Medicine – a monthly gathering for women to coincide with the Full Moon cycle of 2019. This is an invitation for women who are ready to harness their inner power and reclaim their wild feminine nature. Our next gathering takes place on Friday September 13 with host Kathy Scott and guest luminaries Dana Walrath {Artist, Anthropologist and Writer} and Farah Elle {Artist, Singer and Songwriter}

This Full Moon gathering weaves a range of potent teachings with energy medicine, astro insights, movement, meditation, live music and nourishing self care practices. Dana Walrath will take us on a journey of The Feminine Rites of Passage - from birth to the last breath where we will explore and celebrate every life stage of the Feminine Cycle. She will share stories and practices that illuminate the power available to us when we create ritual and ceremony to honour each stage of transition.

Farah El Neihum, known as ‘Farah Elle’, is a singer-songwriter, whose distinctive music reveals something of the beauty in the ephemeral everyday. Farah will bring her rich eclectic influences to Moon Medicine including Arabian echoes from her Libyan background.

Meet our September Guest Luminaries

About Dana : Dana Walrath is a writer, artist and anthropologist who likes to cross borders and disciplines. She spent 2012-2013 as a Fulbright Scholar in Armenia completing Like Water on Stone, her award winning verse novel about the Armenian genocide. Her graphic memoir, Aliceheimer’s about life with her mother, Alice and dementia, was featured in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and on National Public Radio.  Passionate about the power of art for social change, her installation “View from the High Ground” uses interactive artists books to counter dehumanization and genocide. Illustrated essays and commentary have appeared in Slate, Somatosphere, Foreign Policy, Irish Times, on Public Radio. She has spoken extensively about the healing power of stories throughout North America and Eurasia including two TEDx talks. She spent this past year as an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health atTrinity College Dublin, to work on a second Aliceheimer’s book that will blend personal memoir with anthropological discourse on the end of life, stigma, and dementia across the globe. Irish audiences have heard her storytelling at the National Gallery of Ireland, at the Oireachtas and as part of the Bealtaine Festival.

About Farah : Farah El Neihum, known as ‘Farah Elle’, is a singer-songwriter, whose distinctive music reveals something of the beauty in the ephemeral everyday. Farah has eclectic influences, including Arabian echoes from her Libyan background. Based in Dublin, she moved to Ireland with her family as a newborn child. Her ethos as an artist is to spread positivity, compassion, creativity and growth into our society. Farah Elle performs a combination of solo & full band shows regularly. She is currently working on her debut album; which is a concept album, due to be released in 2020. In the meantime, her single ‘Silk’ is available on Spotify, iTunes and Soundcloud. Find her on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Kathy Scott has been traveling the world as a passionate student and brave pioneer of practices that bring people into intimate contact with their creativity and power. As a teacher, she beautifully weaves together all that she has gathered into a rich and generous offering. This is a deeply nourishing and powerful brew, especially for women

Annie Ryan, Artistic Director Corn Exchange

Kathy Scott creates an utterly transcendent yoga experience.  I attended her recent Rising Feminine Medicine Yoga Programme and it exceeded any expectations that I might have had on a mental, emotional, energetic and deeply feminine level.  Her classes are packed full of wisdom, kindness, practical yoga asanas and meditative exercises that flowed off the mat with me and seamlessly threaded into my days for the rest of the week.  Kathy elegantly weaves a powerful depth and breath of experience into all of her classes. Such a restorative weekly tonic.  I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Nadine McCarthy Performance Consultant

Kathy Scott is one of a kind. She has a rare and special gift of teaching, her classes are unique, authentic and raw. Kathy has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom and brings together the most beautiful blend to her teachings . She offers unique pearls of women’s wisdom and deep feminine sensuality into all of her classes. Without doubt the most nourishing and beautiful classes I have ever gone to. Thank you Kathy for sharing your gifts.

Kathy Scott blazes a new and exciting trail using yoga as a way of expressing her higher purpose in this life. She has the powerful ability to align with Source in a way that allows this magnificent energy to flow in her, for her and through her. This invariably enables you to reach into the very core of your own being accessing the Divine feminine power that lies deep within you. Kathy is an embodiment of that wonderful feminine energy that has the potential to rise within us all.
