Happy New Year from Beara where I am savouring my last few days on this epically wild peninsula off the southwest coast of Ireland. I am so grateful for this time away from time and the fine company of beautiful human and four legged friends. Beara is one of those places that keeps on giving and I definitely will return in the very near future for more re-wilding and re-connection.

Closer to home -our inaugural Moon Medicine gathering takes place this Sunday Jan 20 at The Fumbally Stables in Dublin 8. My intention for this year is to gather great women together under every Full Moon of the year. Moon Medicine will be monthly gathering for women to coincide with the lunar cycle of 2019. This series of gatherings will illuminate the magical gifts of the Moon and we will weave our way in procession to special locations around the city of Dublin as 2019 unfolds. Guided by the natural rhythm of La Luna we will learn how to activate the creative life force of the empowered feminine and shape our destiny. This is an invitation for women who are ready to harness their inner power and reclaim their wild feminine nature. In light of #Repeal and the rising momentum of women worldwide speaking out, stepping up and reclaiming their power, this is a special opportunity to rediscover and celebrate your own creative feminine life force. Our first gathering falls on a Super Wolf Blood Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse. With the Lunar eclipse, the earth comes between the Sun and the Moon. Sometimes we get a blood red moon as the earth’s shadow slowly creeps across its crater face. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Wolf Moon because this was the time of year when hungry wolf packs howled outside their camps. This moon has also been know as the Old Moon and the Moon After Yule. This is also the first of three super moons for 2019

Guest Luminary | Jan 20

Our first guest is Annemarie Kenny who will share her experience and medicine with us as an Astrologer, Ancestral Healer and Storyteller. We will also be hosting live music from Irish mindfulness teacher, singer and harpist Fionnuala Gill. Fionnuala has sung for such dignitaries as Úachtarán na hÉireann (President of Ireland) HE Mary McAleese and HE Michael D. O’Higgins, His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, HM Queen Fabiola of Belgium and Bishop Desmond Tutu so we are in great company.

Annemarie Kenny - I met Annemarie in Jerusalem as part of my Pocket Project training training with Thomas Hübl. The Pocket Project is a global movement dedicated to deepening our understanding of collective and intergenerational trauma.

In her own words…

“When Kat called me out the wilderness to share my experience of journeying with the Moon, Moontime and the Full Moon Eclipse, I had to take to the Forge and underwent an alchemical process. In the melting down these three lunar influences came together as Cycles; 'rounds of occurrence that repeat'.The cycle we are in right now began on the 5th January, a New Moon with a solar eclipse and in the in-between time I have been reflecting on these rounds. From the Great Cycles like the 26,000 year cycle of the Precession of the Equinoxes to our Earths cycle around the Sun and our own precious embodied feminine 29 day cycle of Moontime so called because it is guided by the Moon. Astrology has been known as the Round Art, linking Heaven to Earth, and we each have by birthright our own unique round blueprint that will be touched by this coming lunar eclipse. There is a creative feminine intelligence in Cycles and our Ancestors lived and breathed within these cycles in Matriarchal times. I believe that as the Feminine re-turns through us, She will renew our 'Out of Kilter' human world. She will restore to us, a depth of grounding in Earths Natural Cycles in synch with Cosmic Cycles, such that we Women with Roots in the Earth and Branches in the Heavens may arise and create anew”.

About Annemarie

I have been known to work with the Earth, gather wisdom, re-connect with my Ancestors, tell stories, join with others to heal our past, connect with the Heavens through astrology, weave and mend. Growing up in Ireland, there was a sense for me, of lost ground under us, slipped stitches that needed to be recovered and woven back into our post-modern lives. This path of reclamation and restoration has led me into a deep feminine dive into our collective evolution from Neolithic times, our relationship with the Earth and Cosmos, Ancestral wisdom and trauma, ecological, astrological and evolutionary inquiry.

Starting out as social science student, I went to London to study Psychosynthesis, when I returned 5years later my senses opened to the beauty and vitality of the Earth of Ireland. I needed to deepen and restore lost ground and became drawn to learn from a host of inspiring teachers around the world including Joanna Macey, John Seed, Grandmother Nanatassis, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Patrica Albere, Nassim Haramein and Thomas Huebl. There was great benefit to me in deep immersions with the indigenous peoples in Hawaii, Peru and Bolivia while closer to home I have been inspired and informed in the company and teachings of fellow seekers and restorers Emer Cloherty, Sean O’ Duinn, John Moriarty and Kitty Joyce. I am passionate about weaving together all of these influences to help regenerate the sacred intelligence of our ancient wisdom traditions and join it with the evolutionary pulse of the future.
