The Trailblazery presents Moon Medicine – a monthly gathering for women to coincide with the Full Moon cycle of 2025. As we navigate global uncertainty, The Trailblazery hosts a curated series of nourishing online experiences for women who need inspiration, encouragement and connection in these initiatory times.

You are invited to gather online on Monday July 7 at 7pm for a special Moon Medicine gathering, entitled “Rooting, Rising and Resilience”.

Our guest luminary for the evening will be Angela Scanlon {Irish Television Presenter, Broadcaster & Writer}.

Angela Scanlon is passionate about radical honesty, personal liberation, and the power of telling the truth out loud. As a broadcaster, author, and host of the award-winning podcast Thanks A Million, and the new Get a Grip podcast with VIcky Pattison, Angela brings a fierce curiosity and a disarming warmth to conversations that cut to the core of what it means to be human. Through her outspoken voice and commitment to authenticity, Angela challenges the status quo and lights the way for others to step into their own power—both on and off the stage.

This July Full Moon is a Buck Moon that will shine at peak illumination on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Capricorn is an earth sign that thrives on persistence and determination. Symbolized by the SeaGoat and ruled by Saturn, the planet of boundaries, restrictions, and structure. This full Moon brings us to our core essence and teaches us about discipline, discipleship and what we truly value in this world.

When the moon is full in Capricorn, it sits opposite the sun in Cancer in the sky.

Capricorn is the highest point of the zodiac and Cancer is the lowest point. The Cancer-Capricorn axis is concerned with security—both materially and emotionally. This lunation asks you to reflect deeper on how this dance of opposition co-exists within you. Imagine a tree. Cancer’s energy represents the roots beneath the soil and Capricorn represents the branches on top - we need both to be resilient and reach our full potential.

As the great Wheel of the Year turns we are shining in the glow of Summer Solstice,  a powerful time, energetically speaking. Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and is when there is the most masculine light, sun energy, available to us for use. From an astrological perspective the sun (also known as a luminary and a star) is that vital life force energy that gives us the strength, energy and the will to succeed and achieve our dreams, our destiny, our life purpose. The Sun gives us eros, vitality, power, passion and pleasure.

This online event will be hosted by Kathy Scott, Founder of Moon Medicine & The Trailblazery.

Note: If you can’t attend the call live, it will be recorded and sent to you by email within 24 hours.

We have made 3 free tickets available for those who need them. In service of those in greater need, if you are in a position to pay the ticket price, we kindly ask that you do not avail yourself of these free spots.

Kathy Scott shares:

“I am over the moon to invite Angela Scanlon back to our Moon Medicine Circle. She is a much loved Mama, author, TV presenter, podcaster, dancer, top buzzer, hot messer and Ireland’s best-known redhead. She is a rebel with a cause and  hard working visionary trailblazing Capricorn with a lot to say. I am delighted she is joining us to talk about trouble making, tenacity and taking risks. Join us and tell your sisters.”

About Angela

Angela Scanlon is an Irish television presenter and broadcaster for RTÉ and the BBC. She presents Your Home Made Perfect on BBC2, a home renovation series using ground-breaking virtual reality technology to showcase two potential renovation solutions for a problem home. She is also a regular presenter on The One Show on BBC1 and part of the BBC Radio 2 family presenting her own show, “Angela Scanlon on Sunday”.

Angela’s first major documentary, OI GINGER, aired in 2014 on RTE to critical acclaim – the show trended worldwide on Twitter and showed off Angela’s playful presenting style and her ability to dig deep into a subject matter. The success of the show led to a follow-up series, Angela Scanlon: Full Frontal in 2015, where she tackled taboo subjects such as extreme makeovers, fitness and nudity. A further series followed Angela Scanlon’s Close Encounters, which saw her dive into the world of WWE with world champion Sheamus, head to NYC to chat books and babies with Dawn O’Porter and take on Katie Hopkins in a very honest and candid interview. From 2016 – 2018 she undertook her first role on a major British show as a co-host of Robot Wars with Dara O’Briain.

About Moon Medicine

Moon Medicine was initiated by The Trailblazery {Hedge School, Census of the Heart, We Need to Talk About Ireland, Rites of Passage} in 2018 in the light of Repeal and the rising momentum of women worldwide speaking out, stepping up and reclaiming their power. Our mission is to help women to remember, embody and reclaim their authentic powerful selves so that together we can rise and lift each other up along the way. In 2019 the Moon Medicine Global Academy was launched - a year-long online training programme for women which expanded our Moon Medicine circle to include women all over the world.

Our live Moon Medicine gatherings weave together a range of feminine teachings blending ancient wisdom with cutting edge developments in the fields of epigenetics, quantum physics and neuroscience. We explore the gifts of the lunar cycle as a map of empowerment for women’s wellbeing. We draw from a deep well to find practices and resources that support women’s self care and the care of this place we call home. To find out more visit TheTrailblazery.com

You will be sent your zoom link on booking your spot for the gathering. Please keep it safe as you will need it to join the event.

Annie Ryan, Artistic Director Corn Exchange

Kathy Scott creates an utterly transcendent yoga experience.  I attended her recent Rising Feminine Medicine Yoga Programme and it exceeded any expectations that I might have had on a mental, emotional, energetic and deeply feminine level.  Her classes are packed full of wisdom, kindness, practical yoga asanas and meditative exercises that flowed off the mat with me and seamlessly threaded into my days for the rest of the week.  Kathy elegantly weaves a powerful depth and breath of experience into all of her classes. Such a restorative weekly tonic.  I couldn't recommend her more highly.
