The Trailblazery presents Moon Medicine – a monthly gathering for women to coincide with the Full Moon cycle of 2019. This is an invitation for women who are ready to harness their inner power and reclaim their wild feminine nature. Our next gathering takes place on Sunday October 13 with host Kathy Scott and guest luminaries Mari Kennedy {Yoga Teacher, Celtic Wisdom Holder and Women's Leadership Coach} and Runah {Artist, Singer and Songwriter} at D-Light Studios in Dublin

"A sister can be seen as someone who is both ourselves and very much not ourselves - a special kind of double"

Toni Morrison

Mari and I have been sisters in crime for over 10 years. So we are going to explore The New Sisterhood and celebrate what it means to be Sovereign Sisters. We will share our personal and professional stories of joy, sorrow, light, dark, highs, lows and all the messy stuff in between. We will offer some of the powerful medicine that has  helped us to rise and support each other along the way. We are also delighted to welcome artist and musician Runah to the fold

"Runah’s music continues to create a timeless and hypnotic beauty through her unique sound and poetic lyrics." Hot Press

Her forthcoming album MOTHER is a concept album residing in other worlds, a hypnotic journey of birth, life and death concerned with The Mother, Earth and her cycles and how they are reflected within us. The title track is to be released in October, when the veil is thin. You can read more about Mari and Runah below.

Kathy Scott has been traveling the world as a passionate student and brave pioneer of practices that bring people into intimate contact with their creativity and power. As a teacher, she beautifully weaves together all that she has gathered into a rich and generous offering. This is a deeply nourishing and powerful brew, especially for women

Annie Ryan, Artistic Director Corn Exchange

Kathy Scott creates an utterly transcendent yoga experience.  I attended her recent Rising Feminine Medicine Yoga Programme and it exceeded any expectations that I might have had on a mental, emotional, energetic and deeply feminine level.  Her classes are packed full of wisdom, kindness, practical yoga asanas and meditative exercises that flowed off the mat with me and seamlessly threaded into my days for the rest of the week.  Kathy elegantly weaves a powerful depth and breath of experience into all of her classes. Such a restorative weekly tonic.  I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Nadine McCarthy Performance Consultant

Kathy Scott is one of a kind. She has a rare and special gift of teaching, her classes are unique, authentic and raw. Kathy has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom and brings together the most beautiful blend to her teachings . She offers unique pearls of women’s wisdom and deep feminine sensuality into all of her classes. Without doubt the most nourishing and beautiful classes I have ever gone to. Thank you Kathy for sharing your gifts.

Kathy Scott blazes a new and exciting trail using yoga as a way of expressing her higher purpose in this life. She has the powerful ability to align with Source in a way that allows this magnificent energy to flow in her, for her and through her. Fire in the Head - A conversation with Dr. Martin Shaw and Tommy Tiernan

“By going deeper into myth, I go deeper into love, and when I go deeper into love, innately I find morality; I locate a True North in my own heart.”

Martin Shaw

The Inuit say there was a time when words were like magic. That what you spoke could take dynamic shape and influence your relationship to a wider earth. That speech was a kind of wealth. Join storyteller Martin Shaw and comedian Tommy Tiernan and as they sit down and talk about their art forms, lives and relationship to wildness, spontaneity and curiosity.

We are thrilled to announce that master storyteller Martin Shaw, widely regarded as one of the most exciting teachers of the mythic imagination is finally coming to Ireland and will be in conversation with the great Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan in Dublin. We are partnering with our friends Cista Mystica to present this very special evening at The Fumbally Cafe on October 03. Tickets are €30 Euros with doors at 7:00pm. This will be Martin’s first time in Ireland and we are over the moon that this special event is finally happening after a few years of patiently waiting for the stars to align….

I'm coming to beloved Ireland at last, from Dublin over to a wild and devotional final evening in none other than W.B. Yeats's Tower, Thoor Ballylee. It's long been a delicious dream of mine to tell stories here.”

Martin Shaw is an acclaimed teacher of myth and one of Britain’s best-loved storytellers. Robert Bly describes him as “a true master” and Madeline Miller best-selling author of Circe and winner of the Women’s Prize for Fiction, “a modern day bard”. Thirty years ago, Shaw was hurled into the world of Irish myth and poetry by the work of W.B. Yeats. He is glad to say he has never recovered. He is delighted to be coming to perform in Ireland for the first time in October when he will visit Dublin and Thoor Ballylee, Co. Galway. In these intimate events Shaw will celebrate Irish myth with electrifying stories of Diarmuid, Ossian, Grainne and even Fionn mac Cumhaill himself. In troubled times, it was a traditional role of the storyteller to rouse beauty and vocation. In fiery oral tellings, Shaw brings myths and stories that remind us of love, grief and the mysteries. That provoke our humanity. Shaw will also be talking about his new book, The Night Wages, (Cista Mystica Press, 2019), a rumination on the vitality of ancient stories in modern times. “The Night Wages is Shaw at his vanquished best. A credible medicine man takes the dust of what couldn't last into his hands, flings it up into the light,” Stephen Jenkinson, author of Die Wise. “Pin drop wonder,” John Densmore, The Doors.

About Martin Shaw

Dr Martin Shaw is a writer, mythologist and storyteller. Author of the award-winning Mythteller cycle, recent books include: The Night Wages, Wolf Milk, Courting the Dawn: Poems of Lorca (Cista Mystica Press, 2019); Myth in Real Time an essay and conversation on myth and migration with Ai Weiwei, (Marciano Arts Foundation, 2019). Cinderbiter, his collaboration with the late poet Tony Hoagland on Celtic poems and stories, is released by Graywolf Press in 2020. Shaw’s translations of Gaelic poetry and folklore (with Tony Hoagland) have been published in Orion MagazinePoetry InternationalKenyon ReviewPoetry Magazine and the Mississippi Review. Shaw has performed alongside and sometimes with Sir Mark Rylance, Hilary Mantel, Madeline Miller, James Hillman, Coleman Barks, David Abram, and Robert Bly.

Creator of the Living Myth and Oral Tradition programmes at Stanford University, Shaw spent four years living on a succession of English hills exploring remaining pockets of British wilderness. He is the director of the West Country School of Myth, currently in its fifteenth year. Shaw has been a wilderness rites of passage guide for twenty years, introducing thousands of women and men to mythology and how it penetrates modern life.

The Night Wages is a leap into the mysteries, a deep conversation between father and daughter, a ragged travelogue of a night sea journey to the temple of Aphrodite. Released in February 2019, it has quickly gained cult status among Shaw’s readership. The Into the Marvellous book tour launched at Ted Hughes’ college, Pembroke, Cambridge. It has sold out venues in London, Brighton and across the south of England, and a ten-week sellout American leg of the tour. https://cistamystica.com/shop/the-night-wages/

☾✩☽

The Trailblazery presents Moon Medicine – a monthly gathering for women to coincide with the Full Moon cycle of 2019. This is an invitation for women who are ready to harness their inner power and reclaim their wild feminine nature. Our next gathering takes place on Wednesday Aug 14 with host Kathy Scott and guest luminaries Laura Murphy {IMBAS}, Melanie Lynch {Herstory} and Susie Q {Singer/Songwriter} illuminating the pathways and practices of the great priestesses, queens and sovereign women throughout Irish Mysticism and Mythology. Together we will explore how this rich legacy can help us to reclaim our sovereignty and queendom in our contemporary lives today. This Full Moon gathering weaves a range of potent teachings with energy medicine, astro insights, movement, meditation, live music and nourishing self care practices .

Laura will guide us through the mystical practices of IMBAS from the Celtic wisdom tradition. IMBAS is the Irish word for inspiration. It is derived from the ancient concept Imbas Forosnai which means Knowledge which Illuminates. It is the mythical source of poetic inspiration and healing in ancient Ireland. As well as being a gift of the Celtic Gods, it was at the heart of the practice of ‘filidecht’, the sacred poetic tradition of Ireland. IMBAS influenced Ireland’s Joan of Arc, Maude Gonne, WB Yeats, Ella Young and AE who practiced ritual, visualisation and meditation to access IMBAS in order to facilitate psychological and spiritual transformation. IMBAS is the secret of the Celtic imagination and Laura will teach us how to reawaken the spirit of IMBAS and access deep states of healing, creativity and flow.

Melanie will guide us through the stories of some of the great sovereign women in our shared mythology who carried the flame. Melanie is the founder of the Irish Herstory Movement which tells the stories of contemporary, mythic and historical women. Herstory is inspired by the discovery that in contrast to the handful of women taught on the Irish school curriculum, there are over one thousand inspirational female role models featured in the Dictionary of Irish Biography. History has censored women’s stories in the past. The Herstory programme aims to change that and features an annual International Herstory Light Festival, Herstory TV Series, Blazing a Trail exhibition for the Irish Embassy network, Herstory Salon Series, and a schools education programme.

Susie Q will share some songs with us from her forth coming debut album Into the Sea.

Meet our August Guest Luminaries

About Laura : Laura is a poet, healer and award-winning communications strategist. She supports the realisation of creative potential through the revival of IMBAS, a new interpretation of an ancient sensory, alchemical process that empowers us to live our purpose and prosper. After discovering a natural healing ability at 14, which coincided with the writing of her first poem, a lifelong journey of self-discovery began. Since then, she’s been exploring the soul through spirituality, science and her Irish heritage while simultaneously developing communications strategies for some of Ireland’s best-loved brands. In 2013, she pilgrimaged on a re-discovered ancient Celtic pathway that connects many sacred sites of Ireland. Here, she discovered IMBAS. She became a mother in 2017 which was followed by the most beautiful but one of the toughest times of her life. With a heart cracked open and heightened intuition, an enduring creative flow emerged. Her seemingly disparate explorations to that point merged into one powerful insight and a unique body of work.  She understood that her purpose in life was to help people to prosper amid the challenges of modern living through the revival of IMBAS. She has just finished writing her first book, called IMBAS, The Magic of Light.

About Melanie : Melanie is a social entrepreneur and and award-winning creative with a passion for justice, equality and storytelling. Starting a degree in Mathematics & Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin, she decided to take a detour and enrolled in art college, leading to a career working for some of the world's best advertising agencies. The advertising industry is a strange place for a born socialist, but as Steve Jobs once said, ‘You can’t join the dots looking forward, only looking back.’ In 2014 she found herself in Kenya, where some soul searching sparked a new career direction that would enable her to apply her creativity and communications skills for the good of humanity.  Back home in Ireland, she became Creative Director of the inaugural Heart of Ireland (Hi) Festival. Working with Hi Festival Founder Maria Bourke (also her Mum!), the Heart of lreland is a celebration of real people and the real Ireland. During the Hi Festival, a number of discoveries inspired the inception of Herstory and the rest is history, or rather herstory! In her free time, Melanie loves swimming in the sea, hiking, dancing, marching, yoga, meditation, reading, and spontaneous adventures with her soul sisters

About Susie: Susie Q, otherwise known as Susan Quirke, is a musician, singer, song-writer, co-producer and recording artist. She is also a meditation teacher, a holder of mass meditation experiences, and a multi award-winning social entrepreneur for her work in the field of mental health. Since launching her first music video 'Home' in January 2018, she has been featured on national radio and in media outlets such as Hotpress, the Sunday Independent, Irish Times, and on The Irish Times Róisín Meets podcast. She has performed at the Electric Picnic and Body&Soul festivals and for figures such as the Dalai Lama and the President of Ireland. She also runs one-to-one healing sessions from her ‘Soul Medicine’ centre in Lahinch, Co. Clare.

This Full Moon gathering weaves a range of potent teachings with energy medicine, astro insights and nourishing self care practices . We will be exploring the Feminine Alchemy Practice with practical ways to nurture Yin and blossom open to one’s true nature. This is essentially a path of self-love, healing and self-mastery. These ancient practices were closely guarded secrets by the queens and concubines of the courts of ancient China. Many women who mastered the practices experienced great health, remaining young and bountiful into their elder years. The practices offer inner rejuvenation and spiritual advancement. Luckily they are available to us now in these modern times.

Maura will teach self-care exercises like the Inner Smile and Healing Sounds to create a reservoir of self-love and inner peace for you to dip into in your daily life. She will also share some Qigong which enhances your energy/life force and awakens your inherent vitality.

Solstice is brought to you by The Trailblazery. We are the people behind Moon Medicine, Wonderlust, Census of the Heart, We Need to Talk about Ireland, Rites of Passage and the ireland : iceland project. The Trailblazery is a cultural agency dedicated to creatively activating the spirit of our times so that we can take better care of ourselves, each other and this place we call home. We do this by designing and producing live events, learning experiences, mentorship programmes and cross-disciplinary research projects that tackle wicked problem solving. We champion and celebrate people who challenge the status quo and blaze trails in their own spectacular or intimate way.

The Trailblazery was created as a response to a need for deeper human connection and belonging in our society. We are committed to exploring a shared future that orients around our innate heart-centered values of courage, compassion and care. We believe in harnessing the power of inspiring stories as medicine for the times we live in. Our live events have been described as “nourishment for the soul” and we partner with incredibly talented people to deliver inspirational experiences that celebrate storytelling, music, performance, poetry, film and choral spectacle. We have hosted over 500 trailblazers, reached live audiences of 100,000+ people, received national and global media attention and impacted over 2.5 million people around the world. We have a track record in successfully designing, delivering and communicating large-scale cultural projects.

Meet our June Guest Luminaries Victoria McCormack and Paula McHugh

Victoria McCormack is an artist and curator of &Ritual. Victoria’s artistic practice is performance led, grounded in the body, inspired by ritual practices and nourished by nature. &Ritual is a creative platform that explores how ritual practices in the everyday can transform and connect our experiences with meaning and mystery.  We curate meaningful events and offer ritual tools with thought and heart. We run regular experiences in Galway, Swim &Ritual is an immersive experience which includes ritual, meditation, treats and swimming in the wild sea!

Paula McHugh is a 5 Rhythms Teacher certified by 5 Rhythms Global and is a Psychotherapist accredited with IAHIP.  Paula has been a student of 5 Rhythms for 22+ years and draws on her experience as a Psychotherapist to provide a clear and contained space in which to explore the expression of your inner world through dance.  She is passionate about the power of the 5 Rhythms to liberate us from our past stories and allow us to be fully alive in the present.

Inspired by Gabrielle Roth and her map of the 5 Rhythms, she has felt held by many teachers on the dance floor, she believes this particular practice of Movement Meditation enables her to connect deeply with herself and to experience the transformative and healing potential of this movement practice.  She has been teaching in Dublin for the past 5 years and has formulated a body of work around the theme of self-regulating:  Loving Yourself; Yearning and Absence; When Namaste Meets What the Fuck (A Trilogy);   Vulnerability Ongoing Groups and Curiosity. Her next exploration through the map of the 5 Rhythms is Taming The Dragon of Shame which she hopes to curate in late September 2019.

Meet our May Guest Luminary Lian Bell

The #WakingtheFeminists movement was spearheaded by  Lian Bell. She decided to call out the glaring omission of women playwrights after the unveiling of the 1916 centenary programme at the Abbey Theatre, where nine out of 10 featured plays were written by men. That social media post galvanised what became a major sea change in the theatre landscape. It was the thing that woke many women out of slumber and ignited a movement towards gender equality and equity in the theatre world and beyond. Lian works as a freelance set designer and cultural project manager. Since completing an MA Scenography at Central St. Martins, London, she has worked with some of the most significant arts organisations and contemporary performance makers in Ireland. As a designer she tends to work on devised and/or collaborative performances, often in spaces that aren’t theatres. She has designed for The Local Group, Moonfish Theatre, Louise White, The Corn Exchange, junk ensemble, Brokentalkers, and Catapult Dance. Lian was Campaign Director of #WakingTheFeminists, a highly successful one-year grassroots campaign for equality for women working in Irish theatre.

All the way from Berlin, meet our May Moon Medicine Creatrixes - in- Residence

Nina Hynes has collaborated with The Trailblazery on many landmark projects from Rites of Passage to We Need to Talk About Ireland. She  has released 4 albums Creation (1999), Staros (2002), Really Really Do (2007) and Goldmine (2013). She is a member of various art and electronic-music collaborations. She is currently working on 2 albums and a feature film soundtrack. At an early age, she toured with experimental composer Hector Zazou and collaborator Harold Budd. Nina has written songs for all her own releases as well as for other singers and projects including Jane Birkin and Melanie Gabriel on Strong Currents by Hector Zazou (2003). She has also taken part in Art Exhibitions with photographic images, sonic installations and soundtrack work. Nina was one of five founders and curators of CRAW, an extremely successful alternative Irish arts festival in Berlin in June 2018. She also performed at CRAW with her 6-piece band and  a separate dark electronic show as part of her dance choreography musical; Dancing Sun lies down. She has toured America and Europe and played many supports including Roxy Music, Terry Callier, Smog, Stereolab, Cat Power, Julee Cruise, David Gray, Joan as a Police woman, Glen Hansard and Damien Rice.

Dee Mulrooney is a mother, teacher, doula, women’s sacred circle facilitator, storyteller and an artist. She believes passionately and through her own embodied experience that ‘Art is Medicine’. For her the transmutative power of creative expression is healing. Dee uses a variety of media to explore the iconography of identity, in particular womanhood. Her most recent explorations have given birth to ‘Growler’. Growler is Dee’s alter ego, a 78 year old Vulva from the inner city of Dublin, who has been displaced in Berlin. Through story-telling, singing, spoken word, comedy and prayer, Growler takes people on a journey through women’s pain and healing. She is a transmuter of sorts, a channel for women’s stories, a voice for the voiceless. Raised working class in the Northside of Dublin, a time and place dominated by Catholicism and men, Dee is now discovering the joy of playing with taboos and visions of female identity that would until recently have seen her locked away. In her own words.. “My work is a place where my joy in creativity as a woman is wholly my own and ungovernable. Through the pain and sometimes even the unspeakable, there are no limits. As women, we contain it all.”

Lou Horgan, mama of two beauties, yogini and teacher of yoga has been sharing her insights and journey with her wonderful students in Dublin and beyond for over 16 years. In that time she has built a reputation as a respected and experienced teacher with particular emphasis and expertise in yoga practices specifically for women.Having spent many years studying classical Hatha yoga with some of the worlds leading teachers, Lou soon realised what is true for the yogi is not always true for the yogini! Lou’s objective and passion has remained consistent throughout the years since. She retrained in the yogic arts for women, reevaluated  and restructured practices to simply harness and reconnect women to what has always been there; our natural altered monthly states, our deep divine connection when giving birth, our decades of death and rebirth cycles that awaken our wise fearless self. Lou’s mission in life is to transform how yoga is taught to women.  Remembering these natural states, these power points and transformational moments women journey through is what she will continue to teach.

As the self-professed Lady Mayoress of Dublin in Waiting, Sally Cinnamon Foran is a bird with many ideas and high ideals. If musical taste is a valid candidate selection, she's got our vote. As a live DJ she has shifted people from seats to dance floors all over Ireland since 2001, with countless slots at all of Ireland's best festivals and club nights across the country. As a creative extraordinaire she is dedicated to the art of craft and recently made a pilgrimage to the land of her heroine and muse Frieda Kahlo. As a lover of stories she is always on the lookout for human stories that make the world a more interesting place.

Fiona Cribben is a mother and an artist who makes lifewreaths or healing mandalas to celebrate life. Her love of colour, textiles, found objects, paintings and jewellery design are entwined in each art piece. She has lived with cancer for the last 10 years of her life after being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2016, she began to change herself through meditation and is an advocate for self healing with the heart and mind. She is dedicated to creating wellness in her life and the lives of those around her.

Our March Gathering will be an evening of womb wisdom and connection with Kitty Maguire one of the leading yoga teachers for women here in Ireland. She skilfully peels away the layers of taboos connected to women's bodies with humour and heartfulness. She has supported hundreds of women to release fear and nourish their bodies into their full magnificent potential. Women, Seasons, Cycles and Moons in her own words...."This is a homecoming to your bloodline and an awakening of your true source. Together we will learn to nourish all of our women within as we connect to our inner seasons, moon and menstrual cycle. It's time to reclaim your power, embrace your potent energy and trust your wild and wise instinct."

Screenshot_20190304-203559.jpg

Kitty began her relationship with the body from a young age with classical ballet, dancing right up into her early 20s. Further trainings included personal trainer, fitness instructor, pilates, Hatha yoga and Yin yoga teacher trainings, along with Women's Yoga with Uma Dinsmore Tulli. In all the years of working and training her body it was rare that women's bodies were acknowledged in relation to menstruation. Occasionally it was mentioned during yoga not to practise inversions in your moon phase (menstruation) but very little  acknowledgement to the physical or emotional changes a woman's body experiences through her cycle. With a curiosity to support her own PMS and explore the changes in women's bodies Kitty went on to train with Uma Dinsmore Tulli in menstrual health, fertility and pregnancy yoga. This has been an amazing and powerful addition to Kitty's life and yoga teachings, connecting with her inner seasons and menstrual cycle.
* We will be offering a special rate for Kitty's students for this Moon Medicine gathering. For details please email hello@thetrailblazery.com

We look forward to welcoming you all to D-Light Studios to practice, share and celebrate the gifts of this Spring Equinox and Super Full Moon in Libra together. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.

The psyches and souls of women also have their own cycles and seasons of doing and solitude, running and staying, being involved and being removed, questing and resting, creating and incubating, being of the world and returning to the soul-place.

The Trailblazery presents Moon Medicine – a monthly gathering for women to coincide with the Full Moon cycle of 2019. This is an invitation for women who are ready to harness their inner power and reclaim their wild feminine nature. Our next gathering will take place on February 18 and will feature Guest Luminary Karen Ward | Founder of Moon Mná, Therapist and Medicine Woman (see more details below). Our guest musician is Margie Jean Lewis who is known for her intricately crafted ethereal soundscapes, lush songs of emotional depth and pumping electronic beats.

We are super delighted to announce that we are taking over The Pillar Room of The Rotunda Hospital for our February gathering. We will explore the magical portal of Imbolc and honour our Irish heroine lineage from Brigid {Patroness of Babies, Children and Midwives} to Constance Markievicz {Revolutionary, Suffragette and Advocate for Women and Workers}. The Countess was laid out to rest in The Pillar Room room in 1927 while ranks of the Fianna boys she had introduced the use of arms, stood to attention by her coffin, draped with the tricolour, for two days and nights as more than 100,000 people filed past.

☾✩☽

In a world where women can feel increasingly disconnected from their inner selves and the world around them, Moon Medicine offers an alchemical path to reconnection. In light of Repeal and the rising momentum of women worldwide speaking out, stepping up and reclaiming their power, this is a special opportunity to rediscover and celebrate your own creative feminine life force. Hosted by Kathy Scott {Creative Director of The Trailblazery} - this series of monthly mystery gatherings will illuminate the magical gifts of the Moon at special locations around the city of Dublin as 2019 unfolds.

☾✩☽

Women have been gathering in circle and creating sacred space together since the dawn of time – this is our ‘soul-place’.  The Moon or La Luna is a feminine symbol, universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle. Just as the moon influences the ebbs and flows of the ocean tides, studies show that we too are influenced by the magnetic pull of the lunar forces. According to the Farmers Almanac the Moon's twenty-eight day cycle also influences the weather, crop growth, animal and human fertility. In her book Moon Dance: The Feminine Dimensions of Time, Sioux Rose says the lunar cycle directly impacts our emotions and “energises the collective unconscious”. Moon Medicine is an opportunity to tune into the gifts of the Lunar Cycle and meet a host of inspiring trailblazing women along the way.

Intention

Our intention is for Moon Medicine to move processionally through the city, gathering momentum, power and light as the lunar cycles unfold. We have invited some Guest Luminaries to guides us through astrological insights, the path of Brigid, the Druidic and Celtic Traditions of our ancestors and the rhythms of Mother Earth. We will explore Yeats, Maude Gonne, Lady Gregory, AE Russell and the magic of the Celtic revival. We will map the lunar cycles to our own feminine cycles and Moon Time. We will learn about manifestation and intention setting. We will hear stories from woke women in the cultural, politics and social realms. We will honour those who have gone before us and pave the way for those yet to come. We will experience yoga, ritual. and other wisdom practices. We will swim in the sea and dance under the moonlight. Expect live music and performance at every gathering. Join us and tell your sisters…..

How does it work?

12 Gatherings: Moon Medicine is a series of monthly gatherings hosted by Kathy Scott. The gatherings are designed to track and synchronise with the lunar cycle and will take place on every Full Moon date in 2019. {See dates below}.

12 Locations: Moon Medicine is a moveable feast and will take place at different sites around Dublin City. Locations include historical buildings, museums, industrial studios, galleries, sacred spaces, seaside locations (for night swimming) and other curious places of interest.

12 Trailblazing Women: Every gathering also invites a guest female luminary to share Her story. Expect to meet a host of trailblazing women from artists to activists, astrologers, cultural creatives, dj’s, disruptors, gong bathers, herbalists, healers, music makers, mythologists, sea swimmers and other inspiring keepers of the flame

What does it involve?

We will be drawing from a deep well to find resources that will support you throughout the year ahead. We will explore the gifts of the lunar cycle as a map of empowerment for women’s wellbeing today. Each Moon Medicine gathering will include experiential practices from the ancient wisdom traditions including yoga, movement, kundalini kriya, meditation, breath work and sound current. There will also be dancing, sea swimming and live music. Expect to learn about some of the sacred rituals and secret practices that have supported women’s health and wellness throughout the ages. We also will hear the stories of women who have gone before us blazing trails across the cultural, political and social realms in Ireland and beyond. All are welcome and no experience is necessary.

Testimonials:

Michelle Drury, Auriel Yoga Studio

Kathy Scott blazes a new and exciting trail using yoga as a way of expressing her higher purpose in this life. She has the powerful ability to align with Source in a way that allows this magnificent energy to flow in her, for her and through her. Date + Time                           Venue

1.    Sunday Jan 20 | 7-9pm                 The Fumbally Stables, Dublin 8

Details: Our first gathering falls on a Total Lunar Eclipse. With the Lunar eclipse, the earth comes between the Sun and the Moon. Sometimes we get a blood red moon as the earth’s shadow slowly creeps across its crater face. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Wolf Moon because this was the time of year when hungry wolf packs howled outside their camps. This moon has also been know as the Old Moon and the Moon After Yule. This is also the first of three super moons for 2019.

Our Guest Luminary for our inaugural gathering will be

Annemarie Kenny | Astrologer, Ancestral Healer & Storyteller

About Annemarie -

I have been known to work with the Earth, gather wisdom, re-connect with my Ancestors, tell stories, join with others to heal our past, connect with the Heavens through astrology, weave and mend. Growing up in Ireland, there was a sense for me, of lost ground under us, slipped stitches that needed to be recovered and woven back into our post-modern lives. This path of reclamation and restoration has led me into a deep feminine dive into our collective evolution from Neolithic times, our relationship with the Earth and Cosmos, Ancestral wisdom and trauma, ecological, astrological and evolutionary inquiry.

Starting out as social science student, I went to London to study Psychosynthesis, when I returned 5years later my senses opened to the beauty and vitality of the Earth of Ireland. I needed to deepen and restore lost ground and became drawn to learn from a host of inspiring teachers around the world including Joanna Macey, John Seed, Grandmother Nanatassis, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Patrica Albere, Nassim Haramein and Thomas Huebl. There was great benefit to me in deep immersions with the indigenous peoples in Hawaii, Peru and Bolivia while closer to home I have been inspired and informed in the company and teachings of fellow seekers and restorers Emer Cloherty, Sean O’ Duinn, John Moriarty and Kitty Joyce. I am passionate about weaving together all of these influences to help regenerate the sacred intelligence of our ancient wisdom traditions and join it with the evolutionary pulse of the future.
